Southern Ute Veterans Association

It's known only to the creator who lays buried here. For it has been so long ago, in a time when life was hard and illness took our people away from this life. Tim and dates were not recorded on headstones in this area. If they were, they didn't stand the test of time. This monument is dedicated to those buried here in this open space. We honor and respect this area for all time. May they rest in peace. Know that mother earth takes care of them now.
