Southern Ute Indian Tribe
Agriculture Division
The Agriculture Division includes the Agricultural Extension program and Custom Farms services, as well as related educational programs. It provides assistance and information on agricultural and gardening activities, family living, youth programs such as 4-H, and related services. The Cooperative Fence Agreement Programs has been very active with many Tribal members participating and building fences on their assignment boundaries. Beginning in 2004, the Agriculture Division will coordinate the mosquito-spraying programs for a few areas of the Reservation, mostly along the Pine River. The Division currently offers two forms of mosquito larvaicides at very reasonable prices.
