INMATE WORK RELEASE

No Inmate will be granted work release unless authorized by the Programs Sergeant and the Detention Director. This Decision will be based on factors such as length of sentence, attitude, criminal history and job status. Any inmate who is qualified will be required to pay ($15.00) fifteen dollars per day or (20%) twenty percent whichever is greater per day for room and board. There will be a ($25.00) twenty five dollar charge for the initial UA test, thereafter will be ($20.00) twenty dollars. UA’s will be completed at random at least once per month. The inmate is required to give the UA and make payment in full that same day. All payments will be paid (1) one week in advance. If for any reason you fall behind in payment, your status in the work release program will be up for review and you could loose your privileges.  Work release is not a right but a privilege. The work release program falls under the Southern Ute Detention Center and is not subject to Court granted Work Release. The Programs Sergeant will closely monitor all rules and job verifications to include frequent visits to the job site.
