The Department of Construction and Project
Management, headed up by Bob Piccoli, was formed early last year out of what
used to be the Department of Public Works & Operations. Another spin-off
from that reorganization was the Department of Property & Facilities which
is now under the leadership of Ernest (Muz) Pinnecoose.
The purpose of this site is to provide information to those who wish to
know more about the activities of various construction projects planned, and in
progress, on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. Hopefully, you will find this
site informative as well as providing a forum for your comments and concerns.
Phase
I (Family/Community Center Project)
The Phase I project has been going on for some time now. The Southern Ute
Academy was the first part of the project to be completed. Next came the new
Utilities/Grounds Maintenance building, which is located just off of Country
Road #517 adjacent to the Justice Complex. Work is now underway with the
Community Center and Lower Site portions of the project. The updates posted on
this site will deal with the Community Center and Lower Site.
Most of the Lower Site was once home to many Tribal groups that have now
been moved to other locations. They include:

I will do my best to update this site as frequently as possible. As I
mentioned earlier, the purpose and intent is to try to get information out for
those who are interested in the construction projects.
